Arts Encounters: Theater Workshops October 20-22nd

Monday October 20th & Wednesday October 22nd 4:00-5:30pm $15/student, scholarships available thanks to a grant from Bartlesville Elks Lodge #1060!

Here at The Center we believe that the arts are for everyone! In October The Center will be hosting teaching artists and providing workshops for 6th through 12th grade students AND adults too!

First up…STAGE COMBAT! These dynamic workshops will introduce the fundamentals of stage combat and physical storytelling in a safe, supportive, and highly engaging environment.

Led by a classically trained actor with an MFA and over 20 years of professional performance and teaching experience.

Skills your students will sharpen in these workshops:

·         Movement Driven Storytelling

·         Physical Awareness

·         Safety, Respect, Boundaries

·         Collaboration, Trust, and Ensemble-Building

But these workshops aren’t just for kids! We’re offering Arts Encounters for EVERYONE! 

Tuesday October 21 6:30-8pm Pairs of adults are invited to sign up to join in the fun! Bring a friend or bring a date…come learn the basics of Stage Combat at The Center! $30/pair.  

Skills that the grown-ups will take away from our date-night and daytime workshops:

·         Fun and Safety CAN Coexist! 

·         Communication Collaboration and Cooperation

·         Respecting Your Roles: Boundaries and Conflict

·         Building Trust Through Agreement and Feedback

Monday Oct 20-Wednesday Oct 22 Daytime sessions are available for teams that want to get out of the office and learn together.
